The Village That Inspired the Collection
Positano doesn't sit beside the Amalfi Coast, it climbs it. Houses are built directly into the cliffside in tiers, connected by narrow staircases and winding paths instead of streets. From the water, the whole village looks like it was poured down the hillside in shades of pink, yellow, and white, with the deep green of the surrounding hills and the impossibly turquoise sea framing everything below. It's a landscape defined by verticality and color in a way that's hard to find anywhere else, which made it an especially rich place to translate into a hand-drawn silk design.
Why We Called It "Citrus Splash"
The Amalfi Coast is as famous for its lemons as it is for its cliffs. Lemon groves cover the terraced hillsides above Positano and nearby Sorrento, and that citrus culture shows up everywhere in the region, in the food, the local liqueurs, even the ceramics sold in the village shops. When it came time to choose a color story for this collection, that vivid, sun-soaked citrus palette, bright yellows, warm corals, turquoise blues, and fresh greens, felt like the truest way to capture the feeling of actually being there, not just the architecture, but the energy of the place.
The Details Hidden in the Design
Every hand-drawn element in the Amalfi Coast collection is pulled directly from the real landscape: the layered, color-blocked buildings climbing the hillside, people swimming in the water below, and the winding coastal paths that connect it all. Two different Amalfi Coast designs currently exist within the collection, each offering its own perspective on the same coastline, so no two pieces tell the story in quite the same way.
